Fitter London was developed by Matt Whitmore and Keris Marsden, two personal trainers who were tired of treadmills, cross trainers and the same old class timetable. Having spent over ten years training themselves they decided to bring some variety and innovation back to boring gym workouts.
The aim of Fitter London is simple, to get people fitter than they have ever been with unique training and an up for it atmosphere that will get you hooked.
Fitter London trainers are passionate about fitness, they teach, train and actively get involved, never repeating the same class.
My passion for fitness started at the age of 10 when my granddad asked me to bicep curl two tins of baked beans, I managed 10 reps, ate both tins and never looked back. Fitness has always been and always will be part of my life.
Years and years of training has meant there is no room for boredom and my own training sessions must always be varied, challenging and enjoyable. This is the approach I have with my clients and group training sessions. Kettlebells have had the biggest impact on my fitness career - I have never known a single piece of training kit to be so effective.
If there is one thing I would like to teach the world it’s that training should be something you look forward to, the results you achieve and the way it makes you feel will quite simply change your life. However this is only possible if you find what works for you, so I’ll help you find your passion whether it be running marathons, kettlebell training, boxing or simply bicep curling two tins of beans.
Fitness has always been my passion and so is Green & Blacks which means I have no choice but to find innovative ways to burn those calories. I know what it’s like to dread going to the gym but also the incredible highs a training session can bring.
I’ve spent the last ten years doing whatever I can to get fit. Along the way I’ve come across inspirational trainers and taken on board the good bits; what made me laugh, lose weight and love doing it all again. All these experiences have led to the creation of Fitter London and my ambition to get people fitter than they have ever been.
Through my own training I have acquired an extensive knowledge about exercise and developed values that I apply to fitness and health. It is about so much more than how many calories you burn in the gym. It’s about balance, getting fit enough to fuel a fun and active lifestyle, loving your training session as well as the fit of your jeans. Enjoying a real sense of achievement from your workout and knowing that you earned your Saturday night out!
Whether you are new to exercise or looking to get a sub 3 hour marathon time, either way I will help you discover fun and effective ways to get your goal and promise to share my secret recipe for raw chocolate along the way.
